ILLEGAL ZUCCHINI RULES!
What can we say. An illegal vegetable? Why? Who or what is criminalizing zucchini(s) these days? Why must certain musicians maintain low profiles? Is it because of their eating habits... or because of insufferable pain due to loss of character?

I give you a Cincinnati-based band... Illegal Zucchini. Four men, fighting for the rights of zucchini(s) everywhere. Read on for their story!
One Brown Shoe turns into Illegal Zucchini!
After 8 years of performing as One Brown Shoe, John Faxon and Mike O'Moore decided to take the plunge and launch another musical act created to assist in the fight to free Zucchini(s). Illegal Zucchini was conceived in 1999 and their first CD, "Candy Bubbles", was released in May, 2000.

Mr. Zucchini Man!
See here! The only happy Zucchini is a "free" Zucchini! This Zucchini, who we will call "Fred", was freed only this year. Click Fred's image above to hear the title track "Candy Bubbles"! We discovered him hiding in straw in a jagged barn located in Northern Kentucky.

After careful contemplation, "Fred" joined forces with Illegal Zucchini in preparing the world for Zucchini-awareness. "Fred" no longer has to hide... he is ready and willing to bear his fruit for any willing human who wishes to free his Zucchini!

CD Release Parties!
At their first CD Release Party at The Arena Lounge on July 15th, many Zucchini resistors appeared and began to cause a riot. "Fred" (above right) was able to preserve peace and the band played on. The boys performed on October 21st at the Point in Cincinnati, once again entertaining the public while preserving and uniting Zucchini(s)worldwide. The band has performed at Mad Frog several times, although their April 12 gig was cancelled to the riots and impending curfew. Bummer. The Green Machine has appeared live and unplugged three times on WAIF-FM's program "Kindred Sanction." The band was also interviewed on the University of Cincinnati's BearCast Radio station, and plans on performing throughout the universe in search of the perfect audience.
